教学内容:Story time

教学目标:
1. 能听懂、会说、会读、会写:
1)词汇:vegetable, tomato, potato, look for, love
2) 句型与日常用语:
Are you cooking meat?
No, I’m not. I’m washing some vegetables.
How’s the meat / soup / …?
I can’t wait!
I love it!
2. 能听懂、会说、会读
1)词汇:game, smell, meat, ready, yummy
2)句子:
Liu Tao comes from a football game.
That smells nice, Mum.
Are you cooking meat?
Dinner is ready.
It’s yummy, Dad.
3. 了解可数名词和不可数名词及可数名词复数形式的构成规则
4. 培养学生欣赏、赞美家人劳动成果的良好品德。
教学重点:
句型:
Are you doing …?及其回答Yes, I am. / No, I’m not.
How’s the meat / soup / …?及其回答It’s yummy / nice.
词汇:vegetable, tomato, potato, look for, smell
教学难点:
句型:
Are you doing …?及其回答Yes, I am. / No, I’m not.的语调和用法
词汇:meat, ready, yummy等词的读音及用法
教学准备
1. 多媒体、教学光盘
2. 准备一些食物放置与不同地点的图片
教学过程:
Step1. Warming up
1. Greetings

Today,there are some teachers in our classroom.What are they doing?

2. Play a game: Brain storming

What food /fruit /drink name do you know?

4.Where can we see these things?

 

Step2 Presentation and practice

1. Show the title

  Today,well learn  Unit6 In the kitchen.

2.Ask some questions.

What do you want to know from the title?Can you ask a question?When you ask questions, you may think about who,what,how,why,where...

3.Show picture 1

   Who are in the kitchen?

   What are they doing?(Learn:vegetable)

   What else can you see in the picture?(tomatoes, potatoes,carrots)

4.What are they actually doing in the kitchen?

  Watch,read and fill.  

Check the answer.(Learn:meat,look for)

5. Liu Tao is looking for some juice in the kitchen.How does he feel?Why?

 Lets have a look at the first paragraph .

Try to be a little teacher and ask some questions.(Learn:game)

6. Imagine and say

Liu Tao comes home from a football game at six oclock. He feels hungry and thirsty. Lets imagine. What are they talking about?

7.What are they actually talking about?Read and try to find Liu Taos  words.(Learn:smell)

8.Liu Taos parents are cooking dinner for him.Look at the table .Is dinner ready?

   What are they having for dinner?

They have meat with potatoes, tomato soup, vegetables and fish. I think they eat a balanced diet. But how does the food taste?

9.How is the dinner?

 Listen and answer.

10..Does Liu Tao like the dinner?

Liu Tao gives his parents a thumbs up.

How does Liu Tao praise his Mum and Dad?

 

Step3.Consolidation

1. Reading the whole story. 

2. Retell the story according to the blackboard design.

3.Show time.

4.What do you learn from the story?

5.Mother’s day is coming . Liu Tao wants to cook dinner for his parents.

 If you are Liu Tao,what do you want to cook?

 Work in groups.

 

Step4.Homework

1.Practice the new words in Story time and finish the exercise on P60.

2.Try to recite or act out Story time in groups.
